Introduction
This model assumes a power law approach to relating Wellbore Skin and Formation Damage as a function of permeability. During Monte-Carlo calculations, skin will be estimated as a function of permeability. This model is intended generally for increasing skin as a function of increasing permeability.
The figure below shows an idealized example (linear) for Wellbore Skin and Formation Damage as a function of a permeability estimate from a specified Monte-Carlo distribution.
This feature applies to both KOLDUN: CSG Monte-Carlo and TAHK: Coal Seam Gas (PSS) Forecast modules.
A power law is a nonlinear relationship between two quantities x and y that can be modelled generically by the following formula: y = axk, where k and a are constants, respectively, the exponent of the power law, and the width of the scaling relationship.
