Version: 1.5.3 - October 27th 2023

In this release we have focused on KOLDUN CSG enhancements and optimizations to our well bore modeling capabilities, specifically addressing multiphase flow and pump drawdown effects, high initial liquid levels, inconsistent user inputs, and improving overall user experience.

Optimized CSG Well Bore Model for Multiphase Flow and Pump Drawdown Effects.

KOLDUN CSG now offers improved well bore modeling for multiphase flow, ensuring more accurate simulations of complex fluid interactions within the wellbore. Additionally, we have enhanced our pump drawdown effects calculations, allowing for more precise predictions and a deeper understanding of well performance under various conditions.
Handling High Initial Liquid Levels. Users can simulate high liquid levels at the outset based on initial pressure inputs, providing a more comprehensive and realistic analysis of well behaviour.
Improved Handling of Inconsistent User Inputs. We have implemented robust error checking mechanisms to catch and gracefully handle inconsistent user inputs. This means that even if users provide data that might otherwise lead to erroneous results, KOLDUN CSG will guide them towards more valid and reliable simulations.
We have made Improvements to Relative Permeability Models, enhancing the accuracy of fluid flow predictions. These small adjustments contribute to more precise simulation outcomes, ensuring that the results align even more closely with real-world scenarios

Version: 1.5.2 - October 7th 2023

In the release we are focusing on precision, accuracy, and user-friendly operation, AFA now offers the following features:
Percentile calculations based on a weighted average between peak gas rate and estimated ultimate recovery (EUR).
Advanced input and error checking to avoid:

  • Impractical distributions which may cause negative petrophysical values.

  • Conflicting parameters and distributions. For example the conflict of Pi > Pd, and Swi < 1 for any simulation run handled through dependencies.

  • Limits on negative skin values (stimulation) to avoid singularities.

  • Validation of operational constraints. For example the conflict of Pwf > Pi cannot be implemented.

Version: 1.5.1 - September 27th 2023

In this release, we have focused on enhancing functionality and providing users with more flexibility and powerful features for in-depth analysis.
Flexible Petrophysical Distributions. Users can now choose to analyse these distributions by measure, by layer, or even create hybrid mixtures to precisely tailor their analysis to their needs.
Shared Properties Across Layers. Users can share properties across all or a portion of layers within a measure. This feature allows for maximum flexibility and streamlines the analysis process, reducing redundant data entry.
Modern Distribution Capabilities. We have incorporated the Lorenz approach, for analysing distributing layered net pay across a measure.
Simulation CSV Exports. We've introduced the ability to export simulation results in CSV (Comma-Separated Values) format. This feature simplifies data sharing and further analysis, allowing you to seamlessly integrate your petrophysical findings with other tools and systems.

Support for Context sensitive help

Version: 1.5.0 - September 1st 2023

We're excited to bring you a major update that integrates a substantial amount of development work, making this release a significant advancement for our Monte-Carlo CSG simulator.
Simplified Data Input with Multi-Measure and Multi-Layer: We've introduced a user-friendly enhancement that simplifies and accelerates data input through the Multi-Measure and Multi-Layer inputs, streamlining your workflow.
Enhanced Expression of Uncertainty with Diverse Distributions: Our expanded selection of distributions allows for a better representation of uncertainty in analysis parameters, leading to more insightful results.
Wellhead and Sandface Controls: The Wellhead and Sandface operating controls have been upgraded to consider fluid levels in the wellbore, factoring in the downhole pump's location relative to the perforations.
Incorporation of Geomechanical Effects: Our update now takes into account geomechanical effects, including the impact of stress-dependent permeability on forecasts, providing a more comprehensive analysis.
AFA now supports Gas and Water Constraints.
Flexibility in Input Methods: We've introduced flexible input methods to meet detailed requirements, including permeability-dependent porosity, permeability-dependent skin, and the choice between OGIP and Volumetric modes of input.
Boosted Computation Efficiency with Optimized Code: The code has been thoroughly optimized and enhanced, resulting in a significant increase in computation efficiency. This means faster analyses and quicker results.

Version: 1.2.1 - May 15th 2023

We are excited to announce that we have upgraded our Decline (SPAD) forecast feature. You can now export SPAD forecasts in both JSON and CSV formats, with a focus on the profile forecasts. This means you can easily download the forecast or send it directly to a data hub for further analysis.

To improve the efficiency of the export process and enhance system stability, we have limited the timeframe of generated forecast roll-ups to 100 years. This helps reduce the size of the export file and speed up the export timeframe.

  • Hovering mouse pointer over curves shows x and y values

  • Data points in all the plots after the cut-off dates are now greyed out

  • New option in the user interface to select end of forecast date

  • Limit the date range of the rollup CSV and JSON exports to 100 years from current date

  • Fixed forecast start date not matching backend

Version: 1.2.0 - May 1st 2023

In this release we have addressed several important issues with roll-up and JSON exports. We have resolved a roll-up bug that was preventing declines from being updated when the forecast date was changed; and fixed a roll-up summation bug that was causing incorrect calculations in the roll-up summary, leading to inaccurate forecasting.

We have also increased the data resolution in SPAD decline, this change will provide more granular data. Resolved issues with exporting CSV cumulative production and start date data. These exports should now be correct and reliable, providing our users with the data they need to make informed decisions about their operations.

  • Increase data resolution in SPAD decline

  • Correct export csv cumulative production and start date

  • Fixed Rollup not updating declines when forecast date updated

  • Solved Rollup summation bug
