RTA Sensitivities

Introduction

For both oil and gas RTA and FMB, the sensitivities are generated by evaluating the hydrocarbon-in-place such as OGIP and OOIP. Productivity parameters such as permeability and or skin are back-calculated accordingly.

In the oil example below, the OOIP ranges from 3000 MSTB (low) to 5000 MMSTB (high). Permeability follow a similar pattern, but this is not always the case.

Low Case

High Case

Mid Case

OOIP = 3000 MMSTB

Drainage Radius = 1960 ft

Permeability = 0.99 md

Wellbore Skin and Formation Damage = -5.06

OOIP = 4220 MMSTB

Drainage Radius = 3003 ft

Permeability = 1.20 md

Wellbore Skin and Formation Damage = -4.47

OOIP = 5000 MMSTB

Drainage Radius = 3250 ft

Permeability = 1.21 md

Wellbore Skin and Formation Damage = -4.41
