Wet Gas Reservoirs

In a wet gas, the reservoir temperature is just above the cricondentherm. During the production, the fluids are produced due to the reduction in both temperature and pressure. The temperature-pressure path followed during production passes into the phase envelope marginally. However, liquids form easily at surface.

Some basic properties are:

  • GOR > 100,000 SCF/STB

  • No liquid is formed in the reservoir.

  • Separator conditions lie within phase envelope and liquid is produced at surface
