The most common inhibitors are thermodynamic inhibitors such as methanol and glycols;
however, produced water that contains electrolytes also has inhibiting effects.
Other ways to control hydrate formation include:

Reducing the water concentration from the system

Operating at temperatures above the hydrate-formation temperature for a given pressure (this possibly can be done using insulation or applying heat)

Operating at pressures below the hydrate-formation for a fixed temperature. Alternatively, temporary depressurization may be used to help remove hydrates as a short term solution.
